Which Spectrum TV plan is best in 2026?
Stream TV Signature is the best starting point for most households that want local channels, national sports, entertainment and the full group of included streaming apps. TV Lite costs less but is designed for box-free streaming and generally leaves out the traditional local-broadcast and regional-sports experience. Stream TV Pro is the smarter upgrade for viewers who need their available regional sports networks. Stream TV VIP is for households that will use the expanded sports, premium entertainment and ad-free app upgrades.
For Spanish-first viewing, TV Latino is the low-cost streaming option. Stream TV Latino Más is the fuller bilingual package with more Spanish and English channels plus Paramount+ Essential and ViX Premium with ads.

Know Your Real Total Before You Order
Which Spectrum TV package is right for you?
Choose TV Lite if…
- You want a lower-cost lineup of popular English-language cable channels.
- You are comfortable watching through the Spectrum TV App.
- Local ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and regional sports are not essential—or you receive locals another way.
- You already subscribe only to the streaming apps you actually want.
Do not choose it before checking: your five to ten must-have channels, the local-channel list and Spectrum Internet eligibility.
Choose Stream TV Signature if…
- You want the best balance of live channels and included streaming apps.
- You need local broadcast stations and mainstream channels such as ESPN, subject to your market lineup.
- Your household would use several of the included apps.
- You do not need a regional sports network for a local MLB, NBA or NHL team.
Best default recommendation: Start here, then move up only if Pro or VIP contains channels you can name and will watch.
Choose Stream TV Pro if…
- A local regional sports network carries games you cannot get in Signature.
- Tennis Channel matters to your household.
- The $10 monthly step-up solves a specific sports need.
Before ordering: ask which regional sports network is included at the service address and which teams and games it carries. League blackouts still apply.
Choose Stream TV VIP if…
- You want the largest Spectrum lineup.
- You would otherwise buy both sports and premium-entertainment add-ons.
- NFL Network, NFL RedZone, NBA TV, MLB Network, NHL Network or similar specialty sports channels matter.
- You value STARZ and ad-free HBO Max and Paramount+ Premium access.
Value test: VIP is not automatically a deal because it has the most channels. Compare the $35 step from Pro with the add-ons and apps your household would genuinely pay for.
Choose TV Latino if…
- Most of your viewing is in Spanish.
- You want the lowest advertised Spectrum TV price.
- A 45+ channel streaming package covers your news, entertainment, kids and sports needs.
Choose Stream TV Latino Más if…
- Your household watches in both Spanish and English.
- You want a much broader 170+ channel lineup.
- ESPN Deportes, FOX Deportes, Estrella TV and other bilingual options matter.
- You would use Paramount+ Essential and ViX Premium with ads.
The simplest buying rule: Write down the five to ten channels your household refuses to lose. Choose the least expensive plan that contains all of them at your address. Channel count alone is a poor proxy for value.
Spectrum channels by package: what changes between tiers?
Spectrum’s official lineup currently ranges from 45+ to 230+ channels. Exact networks and channel numbers vary by location. The table below explains the practical difference between tiers; it is not a substitute for the address-specific channel lineup.
| Channel category | TV Lite | Signature | Pro | VIP | TV Latino | Latino Más |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Popular entertainment and news | Core selection | Broad selection | Broad selection | Broadest selection | Spanish-first | Spanish + English |
| Major local broadcast affiliates | Usually not the full local lineup | Market dependent | Market dependent | Market dependent | Limited/market dependent | Market dependent |
| ESPN and mainstream national sports | Limited; verify | Included where listed | Included | Included | Spanish sports focus | English and Spanish sports |
| Regional Sports Networks | No | Generally no | Available RSNs included | Available RSNs included | No RSN-focused tier | Market dependent; verify |
| Specialty league networks | Limited | Some; add-on available | More sports plus add-on option | Sports Pack included | Spanish sports channels | Expanded bilingual sports |
| Premium movie networks | Add separately if eligible | Add separately | Add separately | Expanded premium package + STARZ | Limited | Add-ons may be available |
| Included paid streaming apps | No premium bundle advertised | 10 named services | Signature apps + Tennis Channel | Premium upgrades | No premium bundle advertised | Paramount+ Essential + ViX Premium with ads |
Popular channels shoppers often check first
Use the official address-level lineup to confirm these before ordering:
- Local: ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, PBS, The CW, Telemundo and Univision affiliates
- News: CNN, FOX News, MSNBC, CNBC and local Spectrum News where available
- Entertainment: AMC, A&E, Bravo, Comedy Central, Discovery, FX, Hallmark Channel, HGTV, Lifetime, Paramount Network, TBS, TNT, TLC and USA Network
- Family: Cartoon Network, Disney Channel, Nickelodeon and Freeform
- Sports: ESPN, ESPN2, FS1, ACC Network, SEC Network, regional sports networks, NFL Network, NFL RedZone, NBA TV, MLB Network, NHL Network, Golf Channel, Tennis Channel and CBS Sports Network
- Spanish: Univision, UniMás, Telemundo, Galavisión, Discovery en Español, beIN SPORTS, ESPN Deportes, FOX Deportes, Estrella TV, Bandamax and Antena 3
Does Spectrum TV include local channels?
Signature, Pro, VIP and Latino Más are designed to include local and live television, but the exact station list depends on the broadcast market and service address. One city can have different affiliates from a neighboring city, and carriage agreements can change.
TV Lite is the lower-cost streaming tier and generally does not deliver the full set of traditional local broadcast affiliates. TV Latino can include Spanish-language local or national feeds depending on the market, but it should not be treated as a guaranteed replacement for every local station.
Before ordering, ask for the exact availability of:
- Your local ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC affiliates
- PBS and The CW
- Telemundo and Univision
- Any independent local station you watch
- Your local Spectrum News channel, if offered
An over-the-air antenna can supplement a streaming plan in some homes, but reception depends on distance, terrain, building materials and antenna placement.
Spectrum sports channels: which plan do fans need?
Mainstream national sports
Stream TV Signature is the normal starting point for ESPN and a broad live-TV lineup. The exact national and college sports networks depend on the market lineup.
Regional Sports Networks
Stream TV Pro adds available Regional Sports Networks, making it the first package most local-team fans should compare. An RSN is not the same as a national sports channel: it may carry selected regular-season games for nearby MLB, NBA or NHL teams.
Important: RSN availability, team rights and blackouts are location dependent. Confirm the exact network and team coverage at your address.
Sports Pack
Spectrum currently describes a $10 per month Sports Pack with 16 sports channels. Listed examples include:
- NFL Network and NFL RedZone
- NBA TV
- MLB Network and MLB Strike Zone
- NHL Network
- Tennis Channel
- Golf Channel
- ESPNews
- CBS Sports Network
Stream TV VIP includes the sports package as part of its larger lineup. Package composition can change.
Out-of-market games
Having ESPN, an RSN or a league network does not guarantee every game. If you follow an out-of-market team, compare the relevant league service—such as an MLB, NBA, NHL or NFL out-of-market product—and verify blackout rules separately.
Best Spectrum plan by sports need
| Sports need | Start with |
|---|---|
| ESPN and broad national sports | Stream TV Signature |
| Local-team RSN | Stream TV Pro |
| NFL RedZone and specialty league networks | Sports Pack or Stream TV VIP |
| Tennis Channel | Stream TV Pro |
| Spanish-language sports | TV Latino or Latino Más; verify ESPN Deportes, FOX Deportes and beIN SPORTS |
| Out-of-market team | Verify the league-specific service and blackout policy |

Streaming apps included with Spectrum TV
Spectrum currently names the following services as included at no extra charge with Stream TV Signature, Pro and VIP:
- HBO Max Basic With Ads
- Disney+
- Hulu
- ESPN Unlimited
- Paramount+ Essential
- Peacock Premium with ads
- AMC+ with ads
- discovery+
- FOX One
- ViX Premium with ads
Stream TV Pro and VIP also include Tennis Channel access. Stream TV VIP upgrades key premium services, including ad-free HBO Max and Paramount+ Premium, and includes STARZ in the plan description. Latino Más includes Paramount+ Essential and ViX Premium with ads.
Included does not mean one combined app
The Spectrum TV App and the third-party streaming apps are different products. You generally activate a separate account for each included service, even though Spectrum makes them available through the eligible TV subscription.
Calculate the value honestly
Do not add every retail subscription price and call the total “savings” unless you would actually buy every service separately. Instead:
- Circle the apps you already pay for.
- Note whether your current subscription is ad-free and the included Spectrum tier has ads.
- Add only the subscriptions you would cancel after activation.
- Compare that personal total with the TV plan’s first-year and standard rates.
If you already pay for five included apps, the package may replace meaningful spending. If you would use only one or two, the advertised app value is not your real value.
Included services, tiers and activation procedures can change. Eligibility requires a qualifying Spectrum TV plan. Confirm the current app list and tier when ordering.
Equipment, Xumo and compatible devices
Do you need a Xumo Stream Box?
No. If your television or streaming device supports the Spectrum TV App, you may be able to watch without a traditional receiver or Xumo box. Compatible platforms include many Roku, Apple TV, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Google TV/Android TV, Amazon Fire TV and Xbox devices, plus phones, tablets and web browsers. Device and model support can change.
What Xumo adds
Xumo Stream Box plugs into a TV’s HDMI port and combines the Spectrum TV App with other streaming apps in one interface. It includes a voice remote, integrated search, watchlists and live-TV pause features on supported services.
Spectrum currently says a Xumo Stream Box is included when adding a Spectrum TV plan and lists additional boxes at $5 per month each. Some offer materials describe the included box as promotional or time-limited, so confirm the exact equipment term—monthly charge, included period, return requirement and ownership—before ordering.
Traditional receivers and DVR
A traditional Spectrum receiver may still be available or required for certain configurations. Equipment and DVR charges can apply per TV or per account. If recording matters, ask whether the offer includes Cloud DVR, how many recordings it supports, how long recordings remain available and which devices can play them.
Equipment checklist before checkout
- Can every TV already run the Spectrum TV App?
- Is one Xumo box included, and for how long?
- What does each additional box or receiver cost per month?
- Is Cloud DVR included or extra?
- Can live TV be paused on the selected device?
- What equipment must be returned after cancellation?
- Are there unreturned-equipment charges?
How many devices can stream Spectrum TV at once?
Spectrum Support says customers can use unlimited simultaneous TV-channel app streams while connected to the home Wi-Fi network. Away from the home network, an account may be limited to three concurrent streams.
The number of channels available away from home can be smaller because of programming rights. The Spectrum TV App does not work internationally. Individual third-party apps can have their own device, household and concurrent-stream rules.
Does Spectrum TV require Spectrum Internet?
TV Lite and TV Latino explicitly require Spectrum Internet. The box-free Spectrum TV App experience also needs an internet connection, and Spectrum’s offer pages commonly pair the larger TV packages with Spectrum Internet.
For Signature, Pro, VIP and Latino Más, confirm the address-specific ordering rules. A traditional receiver configuration and a streaming-only configuration may not have identical requirements. Even when TV service can be ordered in another configuration, using the full in-home Spectrum TV App lineup depends on being recognized on the home network.
For reliable streaming, Spectrum recommends at least 10 Mbps for live TV, but a household with several simultaneous HD or 4K streams needs more total capacity. Wi-Fi quality and device placement matter as much as the plan’s headline speed.
Spectrum TV installation, activation and extra costs
Spectrum’s TV disclosures state that installation or activation, equipment, taxes, fees and surcharges may be extra. Exact charges depend on the market, service configuration and whether the home qualifies for self-installation.
As a budgeting reference—not a universal quote—recent Spectrum video rate cards have commonly shown about $30 for service activation and about $65 for a primary professional installation or reconnect requiring a truck roll. Spectrum’s current broadband labels show $20 activation and $50 professional installation for internet service, illustrating why a TV, internet or bundle order must be priced from the address-specific rate card. A promotion may reduce or waive a charge.
Costs to confirm before placing the order
| Cost | What to ask |
|---|---|
| Activation | Is there a one-time activation charge for this order? |
| Self-installation | Is there a self-install kit or activation fee? |
| Professional installation | Is a technician required, and what is the quoted charge? |
| Xumo or receiver | Is the first device included? What does each additional device cost? |
| DVR | Is Cloud DVR included or a separate monthly service? |
| Taxes and government fees | What applies at this address? |
| Local broadcast costs | Are they included in the displayed plan price in this market? |
| Regional sports costs | Are they included in Pro/VIP or charged separately here? |
| Premium add-ons | What is the monthly cost and can they be removed at any time? |
| Standard rate | What will the base TV rate be after the promotion ends? |
Because fee schedules have changed and can vary by market, the figures above are planning estimates rather than guaranteed national TV fees. Telemedia Solutions will provide the available installation method and current order total before submission.
No annual contract does not mean no price change
Spectrum commonly markets TV without an annual service contract. That means there is generally no early termination fee for leaving. It does not mean the promotional monthly rate lasts indefinitely. Published standard rates apply after the offer period, and programming, equipment and other charges can change.
Want the Complete Order Total?
Spectrum TV add-ons and premium networks
Entertainment Pack+
Spectrum currently promotes Entertainment Pack+ for $25 per month with 80+ channels and premium access including ad-free HBO Max and Paramount+ Premium. Confirm the complete local lineup before adding it.
Sports Pack
The $10 per month Sports Pack currently advertises 16 specialty sports channels. It is included within Stream TV VIP.
Other add-ons
Depending on location and base plan, Spectrum may offer individual premium networks, Latino, international and specialty packages. Add-ons should be chosen channel by channel; a large count does not guarantee the specific network you want.
Spectrum TV versus live TV streaming services
| Decision factor | Spectrum TV | Standalone live TV streaming |
|---|---|---|
| Local channels | Strong on Signature and above, market dependent | Varies by service and market |
| Regional sports | Pro/VIP where an RSN is carried | Limited on some services; stronger on others |
| Included entertainment apps | Major advantage on eligible Spectrum tiers | Usually purchased separately |
| Equipment | App-only or Xumo/receiver options | Usually bring your own compatible device |
| DVR | May cost extra; confirm plan | Often included, with service-specific limits |
| In-home streams | Unlimited Spectrum TV App channel streams on home Wi-Fi | Service-specific limits |
| Away-from-home streams | Up to three; some channels restricted | Service-specific household and travel rules |
| Internet provider | Spectrum Internet required for Lite/Latino and central to app experience | Usually works with any adequate internet provider |
| Price after promotion | Published standard rates are higher on promotional plans | Prices can rise but are usually not framed as an intro rate |
Spectrum is strongest when the household wants a broad live lineup and will genuinely use several included apps. A standalone service may be better when unlimited DVR, internet-provider flexibility or a smaller channel bundle matters more.

Why check the complete address?
Large comparison sites can show a national price or match a ZIP code. That still does not confirm the exact local stations, RSN, installation method, offer eligibility or equipment at a home or apartment.
Telemedia Solutions checks the service address, explains the current terms and helps place the order at the provider’s own price.
How the Spectrum TV address check works
- Share the service address. Include the apartment or unit number when applicable.
- We confirm availability. We check the Spectrum TV plans, local lineup and current promotions available there.
- Compare the real terms. Review first-year and standard price, channels, included apps, internet requirement, equipment and installation.
- Choose—or don’t. If a plan fits, we can help place the order. There is no obligation.

Published monthly rates reviewed September 30, 2026 range from $25 for TV Latino to a $145 first-year rate for Stream TV VIP. Standard rates and complete order totals vary by package, equipment, address and taxes.
What is the cheapest Spectrum TV plan?
TV Latino is the lowest-priced plan at $25 per month for Spanish-first viewing. TV Lite is the lowest-priced English package at a published $45 standard monthly rate.
Which Spectrum TV plan is best for most families?
Stream TV Signature is the strongest starting point for most families because it combines 150+ channels, local stations where available and the main group of included streaming apps. The right plan still depends on must-have channels.
Does Spectrum TV have a contract?
Spectrum generally markets residential TV without an annual service contract. Promotional prices still expire, and service terms, programming and charges can change.
Does the Spectrum TV price increase after 12 months?
Yes for the promotional packages shown here. Spectrum currently publishes standard rates $30 higher for Signature, Pro and VIP and $15 higher for Latino Más after the first-year promotion.
Are local channels included with Spectrum TV?
Local channels are generally available with Signature, Pro, VIP and Latino Más, but the exact affiliates depend on the address and broadcast market. TV Lite generally does not include the full traditional local lineup.
Does TV Lite include ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC?
Do not assume it does. TV Lite is positioned as a lower-cost streaming lineup and generally lacks the complete group of major local broadcast affiliates. Check the address-specific lineup before ordering.
Which Spectrum TV plan includes Regional Sports Networks?
Stream TV Pro and Stream TV VIP include available Regional Sports Networks. The exact RSN, teams and games depend on location and rights agreements.
Does Spectrum include NFL RedZone?
NFL RedZone is listed in Spectrum’s Sports Pack, currently advertised at $10 per month, and is included within the Stream TV VIP package. Verify the current lineup at checkout.
Which streaming apps come with Spectrum TV?
Spectrum currently names HBO Max Basic With Ads, Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited, Paramount+ Essential, Peacock Premium with ads, AMC+ with ads, discovery+, FOX One and ViX Premium with ads for eligible Signature, Pro and VIP customers. App tiers and eligibility can change.
Are the included streaming apps ad-free?
Most included tiers have ads. Stream TV VIP includes premium upgrades such as ad-free HBO Max and Paramount+ Premium. Confirm the exact tier of every service you value.
Do I need separate accounts for Spectrum’s included apps?
Yes. Each third-party service generally requires its own activation and account, even when access is included through Spectrum.
What is the difference between the Spectrum TV App and included streaming apps?
The Spectrum TV App delivers the live and On Demand channels in your Spectrum TV subscription. Included services such as Disney+, Hulu and HBO Max are separate apps with separate libraries.
Is Spectrum Internet required for Spectrum TV?
Spectrum Internet is explicitly required for TV Lite and TV Latino and is needed for the full box-free Spectrum TV App experience. Confirm the ordering requirement for Signature, Pro, VIP and Latino Más at the service address.
Do I need a cable box for Spectrum TV?
Not necessarily. Many customers can use the Spectrum TV App on a supported smart TV or streaming device. A Xumo Stream Box or traditional receiver is optional or required depending on the service configuration and television.
Is Xumo free with Spectrum TV?
Spectrum currently says a Xumo Stream Box is included when adding a TV plan, while additional boxes are $5 per month each. Because some promotions describe a limited included period, confirm the exact device charge and term before ordering.
How many people can stream Spectrum TV at the same time?
Spectrum says TV-channel app streams are unlimited while devices are connected to the home Wi-Fi network. Away from home, the account may be limited to three concurrent streams.
Can I watch Spectrum TV away from home?
Yes, but some live channels may be unavailable outside the home network because of programming rights. Up to three concurrent away-from-home streams may be allowed. The Spectrum TV App does not work internationally.
Does Spectrum TV include DVR?
DVR availability and charges depend on the service and equipment configuration. Ask whether Cloud DVR is included, its recording limit, retention period and supported devices.
How much is Spectrum TV installation?
Installation and activation charges vary by address, market and whether self-installation is available. Request the one-time charges before the order is submitted.
Are Spectrum’s broadcast fees included in the advertised price?
Spectrum’s current pricing presentation in some markets rolls local broadcast costs into the displayed package rate, but taxes, equipment and other charges may remain. Confirm the complete monthly estimate for the service address.
What is the difference between TV Latino and Latino Más?
TV Latino is a compact 45+ channel Spanish-first streaming plan at $25 per month. Latino Más has 170+ Spanish and English channels, a $75 first-year rate and included Paramount+ Essential and ViX Premium with ads.
Can I add Spanish channels to an English Spectrum plan?
Spanish and Latino add-ons may be available depending on the base plan and market. Compare the add-on total with TV Latino or Latino Más before choosing.
Can I change my Spectrum TV package later?
Usually, but changing service can affect pricing, promotions, included apps and equipment. Ask for the new complete monthly rate and standard rate before authorizing a change.
Can I cancel Spectrum TV without an early termination fee?
Spectrum generally does not require an annual contract for residential TV, so an early termination fee usually does not apply. Return required equipment promptly and confirm the final billing date.
How do I find the exact Spectrum channel lineup for my address?
Use Spectrum’s address-based lineup or call Telemedia Solutions at (469) 960-3311. Have the full street address and unit number ready; a ZIP code alone cannot confirm every local channel.
Does Telemedia Solutions charge more than Spectrum?
No. Telemedia Solutions is an independent authorized retailer that helps compare and place qualifying orders at the provider’s own price. Spectrum sets the price, handles billing and provides the service.
Why trust this comparison?
- Telemedia Solutions is an independent authorized retailer and is not owned by Spectrum.
- Spectrum owns and operates its network and delivers the service.
- Spectrum sets pricing, promotions, eligibility and service terms.
- Spectrum handles billing, installation and ongoing technical support.
- Telemedia Solutions may be compensated by providers for completed qualifying orders; that does not change the customer’s provider price.
Sources and editorial method
Plan names, prices, channel counts, app inclusions and product rules were checked against current Spectrum materials and cross-checked against major TV comparison sites. Where terms vary by market—or current Spectrum pages use inconsistent equipment language—this guide says to confirm rather than presenting a universal promise.
